Meet The Staff

Kate Yilek

Interim Executive Director

Mrs. Yilek joined CASA Partners 4NMKIDS in 2017 as an intern, and has worked her way through the organization as a Volunteer Coordinator, Program Manager, and now Interim Executive Director.  Kate is well versed in all things CASA and actively collaborates with other chapters across the state to strengthen policies, procedures, and advocacy. She has a degree in Family and Child Studies from the University of New Mexico and has worked extensively with special needs children in the public school system.

Teresa Romero

Advocate Supervisor-Valencia County

Mrs. Romero is a life-long resident of Valencia County. She is married with three beautiful children. She has always had a passion for children and wanted to make a difference in a child's life. Joining the CASA team has given her that opportunity. 

Maegan Pina

Advocate Supervisor-Sandoval County

Mrs. Pina has always had a passion for helping children. Since high school, she has always worked in the educational arena helping kids to succeed. Working as a Special Education Educational Assistant has bridged a path to a career in advocacy for foster care children who need a voice. Maegan plans to continue her education in child welfare in order to better serve the foster care community.

Jackie McHale

Community Outreach Coordinator

Mrs. McHale graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Integrated Strategic Communications and has a wealth of experience in Public Relations, Community Outreach, Marketing, and Event Planning. Jackie is passionate about helping people find a way to reach their dreams and is grateful for the opportunity to be part of CASA Partners 4NMKIDS.
